Dismissing emotional responses, picking out logical fallacies, etc. These tactics lack empathy and convince nobody of anything.

Listen, ask questions, try to understand why somebody feels the way they do. Fucking empathize. This is what make us human.

Also if you're getting your tactics for persuasion from Schopenhauer or Alinsky, then convincing people seems to be the last of your worries
