        1. My Opinion™ of the day is that surveys that discuss excitement over frameworks are always stacked with new things because people get excited about the wrong thing when asked that question. It’s never “I’m excited for fewer bugs and more weekend/vacation time and less stress”

        As a person who has spent a lot of his career out there on the “bleeding edge,” lemme tell ya, good docs and well-vetted libraries will save your sanity and give you time to hang out with friends outside of work instead of fixing weird edge cases that are missing

      Anyway, I get pumped when a codebase has a bunch of jquery because it’s like “well, this is gonna Just Work and also it’s really easy to refactor into components” and now I don’t have to spend my Saturday debugging an arcane error message

    (Noting here: ergonomics and Opinions and values that are baked into tooling can definitely affect your happiness at your gig and some things just FEEL wrong and if you’re a tool builder by trade, this will get you exploring new things and that’s totally awesome!)
