The amount of times in my life that I've had to call in, wait on hold, and say a magical incantation of things to somebody in hospital billing (plus have a bunch of paperwork gathered, etc) to get them to resubmit something because of a "wrong code" is a _lot_ now.Permalink On twitter.com

If I hadn't had a lot of experience trying to navigate this, I'd just be out a bunch of money. If I didn't have the salary I have, I'd just never go to the doctor. The likelihood that I'm going to receive a bill above $100 is far too high. Our system is so unbelievably fucked.On twitter.com
