Manager! If you notice a consistent pattern of one of your employees working nights and weekends (if you don't notice, that's your bad), it is your responsibility to help fix it. Help prioritize. Take things off their plate. THEN GIVE THEM SOME TIME IN LIEU.

Adding a caveat in here for nuance purposes: If somebody only gets in their zone during nights and weekends, yeah ok that is fine. You can work with that. I mean "nights and weekends on top of the days that they're also being present for"
